November 2008

Here's what's happening at Caulfeild School
Date created: November 4, 2008

Hot Lunch Change
There will be no Hot Lunch served Wed. Nov 12
We got ahead of ourselves.... Hot Lunchers were never charged for Tuesday Nov. 11th Hot Lunch. There are 7 weeks for Nov. and Dec. but you are only paying for 6. Therefore, there will NOT be a Hot Lunch on Wednesday Nov. 12th, just Thursday Nov. 13th. Sorry for the confusion.

Caulfeild's Fall Fling is coming up.... Friday, Nov 21st 7pm
No Prom Dress Required...
Tickets are on sale until November 7. Hurry and order yours so organizers know how many to expect. Due to licensing requirements, no tickets can be available at the door. Also, we are still looking for Silent Auction donations, please contact pac@caulfeildpac.com.

October PAC Meeting Minutes Ready
Here are the meeting minutes for the October PAC Meeting. Thanks to all who attended, it was a lively discussion. And thanks to Irene Leschert for taking the minutes. If you have any questions or comments on these minutes or anything else feel free to contact me at linda@caulfeildpac.com. To get your copy of the minutes click here..

Friday Nov 28 (8:45-10:00am) is our next PAC Meeting
A volunteer is needed to take minutes. And if there is someone out there who would like to arrange coffee for this meeting please let us know. Email pac@caulfeildpac.com if you can help out.

Lap Tops Not Working?
There were rumours coming home that the lap tops were not functioning. The WV IT people were in yesterday and all machines are working fine. It was a simple connectivity glitch that is now fixed. Thanks to Mr Lund and Mr Andrews for getting the IT people on site so quickly.

Poinsetta Sale Starting Up!
Check Back Packs for info & forms this week. We don't make loads of money on this - the volunteers do it as a service to our parents. Much easier to order yours through PAC and have them delivered to school. You save a few dollars and PAC makes a little as well. Thanks for your support and to Paula S and Sheryl F and their team for putting in the time.

Santa Sale Getting Ready for Another Successful Year
Caulfeild's Santa Sale is one of the many ways our school gives back to those in need in our community. It is a great way to get your kids involved in the community giving spirit. We need kids to help sort the incoming gifts, make posters and loads of other jobs. Email pac@caulfeildpac.com if you and yours can lend a hand. More information to come.

Pro D Monday November 17th - 11:15am dismissal

Caulfeild's Scholastic Bookfair is November 19th - 21st

Playground Supervisors - See the kids in action
This program needs more bodies to walk the playground during lunch and look very fashionable and official with the safety vest and clipboard. This is a fun way to see the kids in action, too. Sign up for a shift per month, or a few per week: Email pac@caulfeildpac.com

Bob Aitken's Lecture at Gleneagles School
Incredibly informative and humorous about how we think, learn, if you have parents with altimeizers, kids brains and drugs, homework, how to keep your brain active into old age and why, recognize a stroke. Bob also passes out, on the spot tests that become hilarous and good resource materials.

Nov 26, 7:00 pm, Gleneagles Gym, $2 admission.
